Admin Console

NOTE - All changes or modifications using the Admin Console are saved in the test site. After all changes are made and tested, you can publish the changes using the Publish button. Publishing consists of moving all test site files into production.

For newer versions of the SSM, an Admin Console is available to configure and customize the SSM. The Admin Console replaces the SSM Administrator and contains the tools necessary for configuring and customizing the SSM. To utilize the Admin Console, you must log into the test site as an Administrator. The Admin Console link will appear in the upper right corner.

Edit Configuration

Editing the SSM configuration can be accomplished by clicking the Circulation link and clicking the Edit Configuration button.

Editing the SSM configuration consists of tabs representing the different functions within the SSM. Each tab lists the available properties that control the behavior of the SSM. Each property has a brief description or overview of what that property controls. For more explanation of properties, consult an ICANON engineer.

Email Configuration

In the Email Configuration, the types of emails that are sent are located to the left. The email addresses and subject line (if available) are located at the top and the email body directly below. The email body contains Newzware tags that are substituted with values from the Newzware database. These tags must remain in the email body as they appear. If the site does not want to show certain tags, those tags can be safely removed from the file. Newzware tags are surrounded with pipe characters (|). You may preview any email by clicking the Preview button.

Custom File Maintenance

A site can upload custom images or files that can be used by the SSM. For example, if a site has an image that should be referenced in an email, the SSM File Manager can be used to upload the image(s). The site can then reference those image(s) in the SSM email.

All files can be referenced using a relative path: "../custom/<custom file>" or the full source URL of https://<your domain name>/ss70v2/<your site name>/custom/<your file name>
